PUFFED RICE UPMA

Puffed Rice Upma

This is an easy and tasty Upma. 


For this recipe you need

2 cups of puffed rice
1 Onion
1 Capsicum
2 nos. of Green chillies
1 carrot
1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
Few nos. of coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt to taste
1 tsp.  of Oil

For seasoning

1/4 tsp. of mustard
A Sprig of curry leaves
Preparation

Clean and wash the puffed rice . Squeeze them well and keep it aside.

Chop the onions, capsicum and split the green chillies lengthwise.

Peel and grate the carrot.

Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seed, When they stop spluttering, add the green chillies and saute for a min.

Add the onions and saute them, until they turn translucent.

Add the capsicum , fry for a min,  then add the carrot along with turmeric powder and salt and saute them until they are cooked .

Add the washed puffed rice and mix them gently.

Remove from flame and garnish them with coriander leaves.

Puffed Rice upma is ready to be served.........


Serve it hot and enjoy :)
