SAFFRON PULAO WITH PANEER AND PEAS

Saffron rice with paneer and peas

Saffron rice , a rich tasty dish that goes well with any vegetables as side dishes.


For this rice you need

1 cup of Basmati rice
1/2 tsp. of saffron threads.
1/2 cup of peas
1/2 cup of paneer (chopped and slightly tossed in ghee)
1 onion
2 nos. of cardamom and cloves.
Few nos. of cashews (Roasted in ghee)
Salt to taste
3 tsp. of ghee
Oil 

Preparation

Wash and soak the rice for 10mins.

Chop the onions.

In the cooker, heat oil and ghee,add the cardamoms and cloves. Saute for a min.

Add the chopped onions, saute them till they turn translucent.

Now add the saffron and the peas. 

Finally add the rice, with 2 cups of water along with salt. Allow it for 2 whistles.

Mix the cashews and paneer with this cooked rice.

Saffron rice is ready to serve...
