MINT THUVAIYAL
Mint (Pudina) Thuvaiyal
A simple delicious chutney with mint leaves and red chillies. I simply love to have this chutney with curd rice :-)
For this chutney you need
1 Bunch of fresh mint leaves
4 red chillies
2 tbsp. of urad dhal
2 tbsp. of coconut
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt
Preparation1 Bunch of fresh mint leaves
4 red chillies
2 tbsp. of urad dhal
2 tbsp. of coconut
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt
Wash and clean the mint leaves.
Heat oil in a pan, add the urad dhal along with asafoetida and fry them till it turns slightly brown. Keep it aside.
Now saute the red chillies.
Finally saute the mint leaves for 2 mins.
In a blender, smoothly grind the mint leaves, red chilli and coconut with salt adding little water.
At last add the urad dhal and grind them coarsely.
Tasty flavorful mint chutney is ready to serve...
Serve it with Hot Idli's / Dosa's/ Curd rice..
